In Loving Memory of Angelo Estrada

VVNA Co-Founder and 1st Vice President

It is with deep sadness that the Van Vorst Neighborhood Association announces the passing of Angelo Estrada, one of our founding members and longtime 1st Vice President.

Angelo devoted his life to others. As a teacher, principal, and professor at St. Peter's University, he spent his career educating and guiding the next generation. And in this neighborhood, he did the same, giving his time, counsel, and care freely to anyone who needed it.

Angelo was there at the very beginning. Nearly five decades ago, he was part of the small group of neighbors who believed that a community organized around shared values and mutual care could be something powerful. The Van Vorst Neighborhood Association is proof that they were right.

Over the years, Angelo became something rare and irreplaceable: the person everyone knew, everyone trusted, and everyone turned to. Whether you needed guidance, a connection, a steady voice, or simply someone willing to listen, Angelo was there. He gave his time, his counsel, and his care freely and without condition, to neighbors old and new, across generations.

This neighborhood was his family, and he devoted himself to it fully for the better part of his life.

The VVNA would not be what it is without Angelo Estrada. His fingerprints are on everything we have built, and his spirit will remain in everything we continue to do..

Rest well, Angelo. Thank you for everything.
