Dear Neighbors,

The oak trees that line my block decided 3 weeks ago that fall had arrived and started to drop their acorns.  However, once again, they have enlisted their little squirrel buddies to aim them at my head.  Ouch!  If anyone has an extra helmet could you please lend it to me?

Our first event of the season is the return of Disco in the Park on September 19th from 6:30-10:00. Music is by DJ BLVCK TRUFFLE and there will be soft drinks and snacks.
So get out your disco duds and bring the family.  And if you can volunteer to help out that would be amazing.

Please join us at our September Meeting on Tuesday the 15th.  Our agenda includes Councilmember  Frank Gilmore, a presentation of the proposed Bates Redevelopment Project, Traffic & Infrastructure, a Street Safety update plus a VVNA elections update. We meet at the Barrow Mansion.  The Meet & Greet is at 6:30 and the meeting starts at 7:00.

Plus we have many more activities to look forward to including another book swap in October. As always thanks for being part of this vibrant community.

VVNA Board of Directors Elections this November!

The VVNA Board of Directors is made up of 7 to 9 positions:
President
1st Vice President
2nd Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
2 Elected Directors
Up to 2 Appointed Directors (not elected positions)

This November, we’ll be holding elections for the next 2-yr term for all 7 elected positions. 5 current board members will be running again for another term. To be eligible to be nominated, you must live within the neighborhood boundary and have attended 3 general meetings in the previous year.

Nominations will be accepted at the October General Meeting.
