A Letter from Councilman James Solomon: Wayne St Two-Way (Btw Grove and Marin) Proposal - Feedback Requested

Dear Van Vorst and Wayne St Neighbors, 

Due to concerns raised about traffic flow on Wayne St, our city's traffic engineers propose making Wayne st between Grove and Marin two-way. As a result of this change, residents in the area will have the option to travel westbound toward Grove St or travel eastbound toward Marin Blvd. This will alleviate some congestion during the weekday evening hours. Since the intersection of Marin Blvd and Wayne St is an unsignalized intersection, they recommend restricting left turns from Wayne St to Marin Blvd and only allow right turns onto southbound Marin Blvd. Another thing to note is that in order to accommodate two-way traffic on Wayne St, 3 or 4 legal on-street parking spaces on the north side of the street would be removed.
