Dear Neighbors,

Can you believe that we’re almost halfway thru the year?  How can this be?

I suspect that turmoil skews our sense of time.  (It certainly doesn’t make the heart grow fonder!). I keep reminding myself to take a deep breath (or several) when the world becomes too stressful.

Our Book Swap was the best yet!  Over 200 people attended!  Thanks to the team of volunteers who made it so successful.

Several new vendors have joined the Farmer’s Market so please stop by on Saturday and check them out.

I look forward to seeing you at the Tuesday meeting.  We’re inviting our neighbors to submit proposals for projects that will benefit the neighborhood.  And we have lots of ideas!

This Saturday, May 16th from 10am-12pm, we’ll be distributing door hangers to share information about the VVNA with all of our neighbors! Want to help out? Meet us at the farmer’s market to pick up a map & door hangers!

VVNA Board Elections will be happening this October, so if you’re interested in running for an open seat, please reach out to us at welcome@vvnajc.org to discuss what being on the board is like and eligibility requirements.

Street Safety: What You Can Do Today

See Click Fix:

Submit Pedestrian Safety Requests through See Click Fix! Visit the Resident Response Center, or submit a request HERE. These requests go straight to city employees responsible for responding to them. The more requests we submit on the public record, the more pressure we can place on city officials to make real change.
