Dear Van Vorst Neighbors,

I hope this newsletter finds you well (and warm!). At our February General Meeting, the Board proposed a resolution to change our name from Van Vorst Park Association (VVPA) to Van Vorst Neighborhood Association (VVNA). The proposed name is designed to better reflect our focus on the people within our community and distinguish our Association from the Van Vorst Park, which is managed by our friends at the Friends of Van Vorst Park (FVVP) - I can’t tell you the amount of times people have reached out to us to book the gazebo! After some insightful and energetic debate, the motion was passed.

I am thrilled to announce that our new name, Van Vorst Neighborhood Association, is now official! As part of this change, we are also excited to launch our new website (vvnajc.org) and social media platforms. Please note that these assets are currently Beta versions and are subject to change based on feedback. We encourage all of our members to check them out and provide us with any suggestions or ideas you may have.

In other news, a clean-up of the Van Vorst Neighborhood area is scheduled for this Saturday, March 18, 10am-1pm, and we would love for you to join us. Let's come together to keep our beautiful neighborhood clean and enjoyable for everyone. And these are the last days to enter your recipes into our first Van Vorst Neighborhood Cookbook.
